Our Mission

The mission of Capstone Village is to provide premier retirement living in an atmosphere that promotes independence and lifelong learning. We seek to enhance the physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual well-being of our residents, calling upon the resources of a caring professional staff and a cohesive relationship with The University of Alabama.

It is our purpose to provide both a stimulating and secure environment in which residents will live comfortably with peace of mind. We intend to achieve our mission and purpose by:

• 
  Developing Capstone Village with the vision of providing a residential retirement community that combines and encompasses the enthusiasm and energy of a great university;
• Providing amenities that foster independence by liberating residents from some of the tasks of daily life. Activities like meal preparation, housekeeping, and maintenance need not consume time and energy, which are better spent on pursuing retirement activities;
• Creating an atmosphere that promotes productive activities for its residents and encourages and supports their continuing personal growth intellectually and spiritually;
• Supporting a retirement lifestyle that addresses the educational goals of The University of Alabama as they relate to senior living;
• Nurturing a friendly, caring and supportive community in which residents are responsible, individually and collectively as a community, for organizing their own lives and planning activities of great interest;
• Maintaining a wellness program that will include fitness and health promotion opportunities and activities, while providing assisted living and home health care on site, when and if ever needed.
